Temporary stay in the territory of the Czech Republic without a visa and visa obligation

 

 You may stay temporarily in the territory of the Czech Republic without a visa if you are:

- an EU citizen – see information about EU citizens' stay in the territory of the Czech Republic

- a holder of a long-term or permanent residence permit in another Contracting Party's territory and your stay in the territory of the Czech Republic does not exceed 3 months;

- a pupil who is not a citizen of an EU Member State but who resides in another EU Member State and travels on a school trip within the EU as a member of a group of pupils accompanied by a teacher, and if you are included in the list of pupils issued by the school and verified by the relevant migration authority in the issuing state in a unified form, which includes your identity, the purpose and length of stay and/or transit;

- a family member of an EU citizen who is not an EU citizen or a holder of temporary or permanent residence permit in another EU Member States territory and the period of stay in the territory does not exceed 3 months;

- a holder of a permanent residence permit with granted legal status of a Community resident in the territory of another EU Member State and the period of stay in the territory does not exceed 3 months (Please note: This exception applies to certain types of permits only. It is recommened to check before the trip, if you are a holder of the type of permit, to which this provision applies.);

- a family member of an EU citizen and your visa for a stay up to 90 days or transit visa has expired, provided that you stay in the territory with an EU citizen and the period of stay in the territory does not exceed 3 months.
