The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is particularly concerned as these bombings coincide with the passage of the election law on Sunday 6 December and appear to have been designed to undermine the efforts of the Iraqi Government and the Iraqi people to strengthen the stability and democracy of the Republic of Iraq.
